The 2022 Winter Olympics, officially called the XXIV Olympic Winter Games and commonly know as Beijing 2022, was an international winter multi-sport event held between 4 - 20 of February 2022 in Beijing, China, and surrounding areas with competition in selected events. Beijing is the first city in the world to have hosted both the summer and winter editions of the Olympic Games.

With a vision of "Joyful Rendezvous upon Pure Ice and Snow," Beijing 2022 built on the legacies of the landmark Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and encouraged 300 million people across China to embrace winter sports.

The 109 events in seven Olympic winter sports were held in the three competition zones of central Beijing, Yanqing, and Zhangjiakou.

Microsoft Sports MSN and Bing leveraged the foundations of the Tokyo 2020  Summer Olympics with an overall improvement in designs and to "winterize" them as well.

To leverage the foundations of the previous shipped product on the Tokyo Summer 2020 Olympics. Using the bones of the previous designs for MSN and Bing to create the Winter Beijing 2022 Olympic products while also "winterizing" them.
